Filipino radio host Julius Cauzo was shot dead on his way to the station to present his show. He had received several death threats because of his on-air comments about local politicians and corruption.
Cauzo, 51, worked for DWJJ Radio in Cabanatuan City, in Nueva Ecija province. The press watchdog, Reporters Without Borders, said: "The lack of security for journalists in the Philippines is alarming and impunity is virtually systematic."
